The Downs Raises $10,000 for Local Nonprofits
The Downs Racetrack & Casino is thrilled to announce the success of its inaugural Baccarat Charity Gala, an event dedicated to giving back to the community. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, the gala raised $10,000 to benefit three outstanding local nonprofits: UNM Children’s Hospital, S.A.F.E. House, and the UNM Spirit Program.
The Downs is committed to being an active and engaged community partner. Each of the beneficiary organizations plays a vital role in supporting and uplifting the community:
- UNM Children’s Hospital provides critical medical care to children across the state.
- S.A.F.E. House shelters and empowers survivors of intimate partner domestic violence.
- UNM Spirit Program upholds the ideals of UNM, supporting Men’s and Women’s NCAA sports and giving students an opportunity to actively participate in their community.
