There’s not a bad seat in the house when you visit the Downs and you’ll easily find your favorite spot to enjoy an evening or an afternoon of fast horses and tons of fun.
Find your spot anywhere in the grandstand and wherever you choose, you won’t be far from a great view of the races, your favorite food and beverages, or a place to make your bet.
Admission and parking to the Racetrack is FREE
Enter at the Casino gate on Louisiana near Central and follow the road in front of the Casino to the racetrack parking lot. Valet parking is available during live racing and trolley service is available to and from the Casino.
Children are welcome at the races under the supervision of their parents.
FIRST FLOOR SIMULCAST AREA
The first floor simulcast area opens daily one hour before the first simulcast race, usually around
10:00 AM but watch for early posts on Stakes Days.
Hundreds of flat screen TVs make it easy to watch and wager on your favorite track
Admission is free
Also on the first floor, the VIP Room affords the best viewing for simulcast racing. Daily admission is $5 per person on weekends and live race days. Triple Crown and Breeder’s Cup seating is $10 to $15 by reservation only.
OPEN SEATING ON THE APRON
Open during the live meet, this is the best place to get up close and personal with the horses. You can cruise to the paddock to watch the Jockeys mount up, get a spot on the rail for the post parade, and stand at the finish line at eye level to see the horses gallop to the line.
Free admission for the ground level bleachers and bench seating on the second floor.
APRON BOX SEATING
The open air Apron Boxes span the second floor from paddock to finish line. Seating is $5 per person and tickets are available at the Program Stand at the south end of the first floor. Open during the live meet.

Located on the third floor and open only during the live meet, Turf Club admission is $10 per person.
From the Turf Club you can see the entire race course, Jumbo Tron, finish line and Winner’s Circle.
Dress code: neat, casual attire. No sleeveless shirts for gentlemen.

Our exclusive members-only private club is located on the third floor on the finish line.
Occasionally, seats are available on a daily basis for $15 per person by reservation only.
